somewhere between jazz and folk, there is squidbrains

sax-laced acoustic grooves, dense percussion, and crooning vocals make a melting pot of jazzy something or other.

Album #2 coming Spring 2024!

about this album

Two guys—Christos & James—made Glug Glug Glug Ahh in a bedroom, with no real plans to release it beyond sending it to our friends and family. We drew our own album art, did our own mixing and mastering, and even created this website ourselves.

On some level, we have no idea what we're doing (hence the name squidbrains), but we are deeply proud of this album and what it represents in our lives. It's been a long ride, and we're thrilled to finally put it out into the world.

Our second album All Squid No Brains has been in the works for two years and is coming Spring 2024.

squidbrains live

We’ve played a handful of shows around Seattle, both at venues and in our friends’ backyards and garages back when the whole world was shut down. That’s Bex Worsham on violin, the low key third member of the band.
